I have nothing but respect for the job Corey Raymond has done, but things run their course and it was time to make a change. It doesn’t mean he isn’t a good DB coach, but he isn’t the only good DB coach.

What’s your point?
Well my point is:

Here’s a list of the 4 and 5 star corners and safeties who enrolled at LSU under Raymond’s recruitment:
Stevens was and ATH/WR when he signed and not a CB/DB. Also if you remember Austin Thomas is the guy that really got him here. And JTBC I'm in the Corey wont be missed all that much camp!

I tried making this point yesterday but you have definitely proven the point I was trying to make

I mean Stevens was a 5* ATH who ultimately did what athletes do and chose between playing DB and WR. To act like he was remotely close to primarily being a WR recruit is disingenuous. He was listed as the #1 safety prospect on 247’s composite

His LSU career was also a clusterfrick where O started him off at safety as a freshman and eventually forced him into playing at WR so he’d see the field, he caught like 2 passes, then he permanently moved back to safety. Like 98% of his career has been spent at safety or a hybrid role. You didn’t really keep up with him or you’re just looking to be disagreeable if you’re going to act like he wasn’t a DB recruit and player all the way

Austin Thomas was Jacoby's primary recruiter. Without him, Jacoby doesn't sign with LSU.

Stop digging up "feel good" reasons to help yourself cope with Raymond leaving. Seems like every other thread is someone trying to justify moving on from him.
So he's averaging 1 top 3 round pick per year? That sounds about right.
Uf in that same time frame has had:
4 1st round DBs taken
4 2nd round DBs taken
So 8 in the top 2 rounds over the same period. And I don't see many people gloating about UF's DB coaches the same way.
