43, attended LSU 90-92, military, haven't been to a game since PSU Cap 1 bowl.
It is not that I'm for O as much as I don't get the desire for Fisher or Herman. Both of those guys are in a weaker conferences, have their own coordinators, their systems, their players, yet all ranked behind us in all 3 polls.
If we win out as I think we will, we will only out pace them and be in a better bowl position.
A head coaches job is to be the coordinator of coordinators (OC, DC, RC, STC) and make it all work. All CEO has done is take CLM system and remove the sand and replace it with teflon. It is not perfect, but it is not entirely his system, his players, etc. Yet it is working very well.
There is excitement at every game.
We are competitive in every game.
Did you realize that the Southern Miss game had a bigger turn out than the MSU conference game under CLM.
We have won every game but 1 under CEO and in the one loss, we were competitive. That is the one team that has better personnel than we do in the trenches, yet the outcome of that game wasn't determined until 50 minutes into the game (with the more probable NC), what more do you want.
Fisher got his arse waxed this year by 43 points to Louisville (his team gave up). I also consider the talent between LSU and FSU on par with each other.
Houston does not have the personnel that we do, so MAYBE Herman with our talent could do better, but he has not proven it yet either and I doubt that Herman can recruit Louisiana as well as CEO.
So this will be a risk no matter which way we go, but I think that CEO has just as much chance as anybody else.
He knows that he needs a better OC and QB coach and better trench recruiting.

Well I am from the Cajun country, but live in Austin. All my lsu alum friends want fisher. All the guys i grew up want O. We all wanted Les gone. But all my south of I-10 friends back home cannot stand fisher. They say he sucks, cannot win the ACC. It's like arguing with a bunch of nats. 39 and pro Jimbo.

The older generation seems to have lower expectations and tends to be more defeatist when it comes to the outlook of the program. It's why many of them fawned over Miles until the very end.
Their petrified brains can't comprehend that the landscape of college football has changed dramatically since 20, 30, or 40 years ago. They refuse to believe LSU is a blue blood program now, and programs like Nebraska really aren't anymore.
