I don't believe any of that to be true. LSU will have to pay top dollar no matter who they target. O would have been the most economical decision.

The bidding war will be with Texas and Phil Knight. LSU cannot beat Phil Knight. He is worth 24.1 billion.

I said this in another thread, so I'll just reiterate.
If Jimbo Fisher is the #1 target, LSU might be making a lot of noise about not 'bidding' to make sure Jimbo knows he's the #1 guy.

Everyone is missing the point here. Is Tom Herman really just a whore for money? Will he just go to the highest bidder? I would like to think he is thinking about long term success, place to live, administration, conference etc. When you make 5+ million dollars, I don't think an extra million or two makes a huge difference in lifestyle. Just my take, maybe he is a money whore, I don't know. But if he is smart as advertised, it won't be money, it will be where he wants to end up.
