...isn't it just possible that Nick Saban is just a prick? He doesn't look like the kind of guy that likes anything to me.

This doesn't have to be a bad thing, dude just has to stop jumping ship. You don't have to be satisfied with the job you're doing but you do have to feel that way about the place you're coaching.

Not hacking it in with Bama is worse than not hacking it in the NFL.

He thinks his balls are too big to leave with a possible losing season.

Based on what many who worked in the athletic dept when Saban was there, he was the type of person that people would avoid in the hallways when he was sighted. When he fell into the water off his dock at his summer home in N.Carolina & was pulled out by a TAF friend, the running joke in the athletic building was that he would have drowned if he had been dependent on help from anyone working there. I am not sure if it is an ego thing or he just does not care what people think of him: his mentor was the most hated coach in the NFL...Bellichek. Listen to his press conferences and the similarties are amazing. His wife spent half her time, socially, apologzing for his social gaffs. He just does not care for people.

I have known a lot of doctors like that. It is not that they are bad people it is just that they are perfectionists and they don't understand anybody doing anything half arse. He reminds me of some of those kind of guys. Believe me, people like that are completely unaware that others think they are assholes. They have no idea.

Neither do most CEOs. And then they get 10-15 million dollar raises.

He can probably be a prick at times and he may have some personal issues with himself, but he's a perfectionist with a visible job with lots of demands on it. If you've ever been around perfectionists, you know what I'm talking about. He's old-school, tough, strict, and a hard arse and an extremely talented football coach. He knows what it takes.

I think he's misunderstood. Most of the players I know that played for him didn't have much of a problem with him. I think his "Atilla The Hun" phenomena that people have put on him has taken on a life of its own and is greatly exaggerated and blown out of proportion.

If you listen to people on here who've never met him, they'll try to get you to believe that he's the most heart-less, cold-blooded and mean-spirited sombitch there is. And I don't think that's entirely accurate.

He may be a prick but I still think he is a very good coach. It's funny how people will put up with things when they're winning.
