Sources tell FootballScoop that Nick Saban plans to promote Dan Enos to offensive coordinator for the 2019 season. Enos currently holds the title of associate head coach and quarterbacks coach on Nick Saban’s Alabama staff.

Great hire. Isn't he more of a pro style OC though?

He's obviously not limited in his scope

You can still run pro concepts out of spread / shotgun . It’s what most offenses are these days except true Air Raid offenses

I'm aware of that but I thought most of his background was running a pro style O at Arkansas and the previous place where he was the head coach. I just thought Bama has shifted to more of a RPO/Spread instead of what he ran with the Razorbacks.

I think he's a great hire, I'm just wondering if he'll continue to run what Bama has been running or if he'll switch things up.

Enos is going to kill it with that roster. Great hire as usual by Saban.

Locks was the RPO guru for us. We actually only ran true RPOs a few times a game. The rest was just spread formations/pro concepts like Kiffin ran actually . Tua is really not a true runner so the RPO was just window dressing IMO. With his health you will probably see less and less of him running I hope.

This will definitely be the hire that topples King Saban's dynasty. As if this dude can just plug and play at OC. The nerve, the ARROGANCE. Psssh.

Lmakes sense.

Saban May even go hire another Co-Coordinator

He’s has solid continueity through several short term OCs.

Saban knows that Tua is special and that after him he is more than likely going back to game managers at quarterback so he is promoting the qb coach that is closer to what he used to have.

Enid is a great qb coach and with the talent they will get at Bama the offense he ran at Arkansas will work really well. Great O line great rb’s make his offense work.
