Freeze would love to have Tua and those receivers to work with. Put up yuge numbers and catapult back into another good HC position. Obviously id prefer Saban's judgment to my own but I would rather not have a coach who is just auditioning for another job the year after. Creates a possible conflict of interest between putting up gaudy numbers and setting up winning gameplans.

I don't think he'd "bolt" simply in protest he didn't get it, but I do expect he'll have plenty of OC opportunities elsewhere if he isn't promoted at Alabama.

Very good and relevant question to all this. Dont need inside information to know that hes done a great job with the QBs this year. Hurts has been much much improved in the times he got in this season and looked like he had all his confidence back when he went in against UGA. Id think Saban would love to keep him.

Any of these candidates will do fine at Bama. Only a total frickup could fail there.
