Ryan Grubb as OC, Chuck Morrell as co-DC and Safeties coach. Only Freddie Roach and Robert Gillespie are being retained.

This is a solid staff coaching wise, I just wonder how a bunch of guys from the Pacific Northwest who have never lived in the south are going to be able to sell kids in the south.

The coordinators are not as important as the position coaches. They will probably need to be more local. Not everyone obviously. But you need it present.

Something tells me that having part of your staff loyal to the head coach for several years, and then the other part being retained from Saban’s staff, along with Saban being allowed to still have influence, is going to be a toxic situation. A lot like the Dye/Bowden relationship at Auburn in the 90s. As soon as they lose a game, a lot of fingers are gonna be pointing a lot of different directions.

They can go anywhere and get a kid

A previous thread quoted several long term area high school coaches as saying they were taking a wait & see approach before judging the new staff's ability to recruit their players. Not exactly jumping up & down with joy, borderline "we're not happy" it seems.

Unless his ego can’t help itself, your lord Saban needs to step away completely & let them do their jobs.

Yea he will teach them to be conservative and not liberal in a racist republican state that hates the LGBTQ community.
Hopefully he can teach them that hearing the N word all the time is normal in Alabama, to get used to it.

Saban voted for Hillary. George Wallace was a die-hard Democrat.

Anyway, New coach gets to call for his people, right? CNS probably on a flight on Jerry Jones' private jet to the D right now.

Geez... STFU. Saban isn't even conservative. At least not openly. Did you know that, genius?
