I worked together with Brian Cook for about a year at The Sporting News. The dude is far from ignorant.
And the run-on sentence was done purposely with each "and" written in italics to comically illustrate an all-in-one-breath multitude of issues he has with a Miles hire.
He's not a fan of Miles, obviously. But he's not alone there in Michigan, although I wish Brian's dissent was the majority view and much louder. I don't want Miles to go, just Crowton.
I've read mgoblog for a few years now, and clearly Brian Cook is a really sharp dude. He was all up on the Miles gravy train last time around though. Clearly his viewpoint has changed.

frick you. Period. A 40 yr run ending 3 yrs ago is pretty damn recent. Unless your first ball just dropped 3 yrs ago I suppose.
Well, aren't you the mature one here. You're still talking about Michigan's past, it is a great program but I live in the here and now, and where Michigan is now = shite. So, I will go check my 30 year old balls I am pretty sure dropped before 3 years ago, while you go around calling people a "pus-nugget" and telling them "frick you. Period."

Supes I brought that very thing up to some big 10 tards on the msb. That OTL smear segment did it's job by giving those idiots something to cry about.
The thing about the OTL piece is that the Miami story was even more fricked up. Shannon cut a senior returning starter DE and gave his scholly to Seantrel Henderson. The DE didn't even know something was up until D1AA schools started calling to recruit him.

The most important streak we lost was the "Our FB team never served a day of probation".
Is there a SEC team that could match that?
Didnt think so, so dont be tampering with my posts. Michigan can hold their heads high. We won for yrs, and we won the right way.
Fact: The Michigan Football Program is currently on probation.
Fact: The LSU Football Program has never been put on probation by the NCAA (they have currently proposed self imposed penalties to the NCAA and are not expect to be on probation for the minor violations)

No offense Michigan fans but even the NW coach doesn't want the hc job at Michigan. LSU has won two bcs titles since your last and we play real teams. Quit living in the past because right now you can't even beat Mississippi State.

you still ahave a spot with a greyshirt, just a little later than originally planned.
perfectly acceptable by NCAA standards
Michigan may not do it, yet, but I guarantee you that shady Tressel douche does but nobody says anything about it
Cheaty McSweatervest breaks the rules? Say it isnt so....I would of never guessed.
Schools like Ohio Tat, Auburn, and Bama just pizz me off to no end. When your HC comes out and says he pays for players(Bear), is there any doubt what the culture is?
Every time you turn around their FB teams are caught doing some fricked up things, yet folks wanna throw "lack of institutional control" on a FB program that has never been in trouble before, and put in like 170 hrs extra over a 2 yr span? Roughly an hour and a half a week?
Get the frick out of dodge.
You would think paying players, and things of that nature would get the smack on the hand. Ask SC about how "fair" things are.
The Fab 5 got banners taken down, and a practical death penalty to our basketball team. Everytime you turn around Tat state is caught with players getting money, or "loaner" cars, and they get to play in bowls(with no loss of games).
Wont even get into the Cam deal.
Money stuff concerns me more than "over-signing". I just think it is a bunch of BS to do kids that way.
IMO the only way you cut a kid is if they fail in school, or are getting in trouble. Not based on them being 3rd string.

good post, champ
also, Michigan doesnt win national titles, and hasnt for a long, long time. Ok, go ahead and count the 1997 split when everyone knows Nebraska would have stomped them....so, im not sure how much winning Michigan really does either

when has Les or LSU ever done this?

Have any of y'all ever been to a game in the Big House? I have. Three times in the late Lloyd Carr early Rich Rod era. What a lame in-stadium environment. It was quiet. I swear to God, my wife fell asleep.
just wanted to pile onto a little bit of the Michigan hate.
seriously, Michigan people do live in the past. I used to laugh so hard when I'd see the Bo Schembechler wine on the shelf at the liquor store.
Michigan might just turn out to be the new Northwestern.

You should only lose TOPS if you fail to run a 4.5 and bench 225 ten times

According to this thread you would be wrong.... LSU probation in 80s

I was in Ann Arbor when Shembechler died. This old lady came running up to me and was like, "Bo died.' I had to go through my mental roladex of all the Bo's I know from Louisiana before I realized where she was coming from.
And this guy David Brandon is ate up with it, let me tell you.

I'd be heartbroken if anything ever happened to Bo Petitt

UM is going to be bad for years to come. There are too many people that are involved in making decisions. Why would you have a former head coach that got fired and started all this mess involved in the decision making process?

With that said, Chris Garrett didn't get cut for being 3rd string. Chris Garrett had his scholly revoked for blatantly refusing to even try to be anything other than third string...after several talks by the coaches, one on one, face to face, not by mail.
I wish I could find it, but there is a picture of Chris Garrett I've seen from last year. Dude was straight up fat...and he was anything but fat when he was recruited. He just didn't give a shite. He felt he wasn't given a shot to compete, so he flat out quit.
And even after all that, when he got the letter, he STILL could've earned his scholly back. He CHOSE not to.

I am a white guy, and used to have to watch the ball to double dribble when I was a kid. That was basketball....not pissing rant-tards.
I never liked BB, although I did watch a little in the late 80s(Michigan/Pistons/Jordan).
Our BB team was crooked as hell. They got what was coming to them.
I have been a FB fan though since the mid 70s, and have never stopped being....even the past 3 yrs. To me, nothing(barring Family) compares to Michigan FB. It isnt even close.
I am sure some LSU fans appreciate their FB team as much.
