Ok at this point everyone knows Coach Oeaux might still be a candidate for the HC job but he won't get it. You can lose to Bama at home because they were the better team, but you can't lose to Florida at home when it was clear that on the field LSU was the better team. So no matter how much the Coach Oeaux crowd wants Orgeron he isn't getting the job. And the worse part is he might just up and leave like USC so we now lose an incredible recruiter and great D-line coach, I hope that doesn't happen but there is a strong possibility of that.

Next Herman is going to Texas, whether people on this board believe it or not. It should be clear by now to everyone on this board that Strong is going to be fired at season's end, something I have been telling the board that was going to happen after the OU loss from a huge booster at UT. UT wants Herman badly and they will pay whatever his price is and we can't compete with that.

Fisher - I personally don't think he is coming to LSU, I don't know anything "like I do with the UT job" but my gut says this isn't happening. Our window for Fisher was last year and I think that window is closed. You add the family issues with Fisher and the fact that FSU is going to match whatever our offer is, the only way we get Fisher is if LSU is his dream job. Don't have any facts on this but I just don't think it happens too much negative noise going around his candidacy about numbers.

And the kicker is even though we have Aranda under contract there isn't a program except Bama that wouldn't hire Aranda in a second and I would have to believe his agent is getting phone calls daily inquiring about his services because of what is going on at LSU. I think Aranda might be done at the end of this season also, I pray not but that is probably a strong possibility.

If the above three happen as there is surely a strong possibility it might, what happens to our recruiting class. Obviously, we will be able to keep a good portion of it because of LSU but it could get pretty ugly depending on who we hire.

That above scenario, which I feel is extremely likely, is about as bad as it gets for a program that everyone thinks is a top 5 job in the land which I feel it is also.

I'm afraid we're going to be dissapointed as well.

Told last night Kiffen joining O is possible scenario

He understands the OC must be splash hire.

Makes me very nervous we're about to backslide ...

Alabama
USC
Norte Dame
Michigan
Florida
Texas
Ohio State

Are all better programs throughout history. Just because two boobs said on ESPN that we are top five does not make it so.

Norte Dame
- was past tense, great tradition but is not and will not ever be again a top 5 program because of academic standards too high to regularly compete. They can have a couple of good years but eventually they will fall back into this kinds of years they are having this year.

Florida - completely disagree with you, it is a great job but not top 5 when you compare the rest it is close though. When you look at LSU and Florida the difference is recruiting and the fact that LSU has no competition in the state Florida has FSU and Miami not to mention every swinging dick in the country trying to poach players from Florida. Nope LSU is the better job not even a real argument on that.

So we are down to Bama, USC, Texas, Ohio St and Michigan and I think LSU is the next school so I was off by one we are top 6 in the country still damn good and some people might argue the Michigan/LSU thing although I wouldn't I think Michigan is the better job.

Quit fricking posting your shitty same post in every thread! This is 2016! Not 1990! In this day and age we ARE a top 5-8 team!

He is a dumb frick that lives in the stone age!!! He is correct we historically aren't a Top 5 team but we aren't living in the HISTORY period we are living in the CURRENT period and we are a Top 6 program and the expert agree with that and Steve O obviously isn't an expert in anything!

I would be shocked if he's hired after that. Not only is he not qualified - he's not up to the challenge. He has looked like a deer in the headlights against UF and Bama. He's also allowed the players to run their mouths about UF and then they couldn't back it up and played like shite.

And the worst of all IMO- is your star player not being ready to play but going out and getting into a scuffle with a coach from another team? And then the player coming in and deciding he wants to dress and play? and then you give him multiple carries....including forcing carries to him down near the goal line and get no points?

If the powers that be were ever on the fence then that should have shown them all they needed to know. To quote Rabalais' article "The inmates, as well-intentioned as they may be, can’t run the asylum. Kudos to Coach O, but it appears it’s going to be someone else’s asylum to run."

History has very little to do with anything - and when did UF become a historic power?

LSU has plenty of built in advantages and will spend money. quit being an idiot.

They are a good job, but they aren't a historic power but neither was LSU!

LSU is a top 5 but for the 2 guys we want we are competing with a top 5 job (texas) and a top 10 job (FSU). This isn't the 90's where you can easily out bid every school and only a handful of schools were TV each week.

That's so true. I love LF7, but if he can't play before the game which I'm sure was his call, after getting into scuffle he's pumped up and the coach says "ok". Totally inmates running the asylum as you said. A leader can delegate, but he needs to have a little more authority than O has shown. Also, that goal line O was a joke. Been saying for years why not run with 4 WR if we are going to run. Spread them the frick out.

Chicken little syndrome is rampant this morning. The point is just let the process play out because there is not a single thing we can do about it.
If anyone on here believes that Alleva gives a rats arse what a bunch of kids think I have a real steal on some property in the swamp for sale.

I spend enough money and time with enough people to know that Alleva isn't as UP front as might think about this. What has got people concerned is we are at 50/50 on Fisher and Herman is out. Couple Herman going to Austin - which is a great town and Herman's ability to recruit - Ed oliver to Houston - there is a real possibility in losing another D Coordinator for the 3rd straight year.
If Alleva has any intelligence he will lock down Aranda. I believe one option could be have O for another year and then Aranda to Head coach if that makes him comfortable. Otherwise, just name Aranda head coach and be done with it.
