So that helps narrow the list down?

Five-star running back Cam Akers is one of the most coveted prospects in the country, and he spoke with 247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons about the process in person on Wednesday.
Akers is considering a handful of schools, one of which is LSU.
In talking with Simmons, Akers said he had a preference - or two - when it comes to the LSU coaching search now that Les Miles has been fired.
"Coach Orgeron, me and him have a pretty good relationship so it didn't really affect where they stand and how they're recruiting me at all," Akers told Simmons when asked about LSU. "I'm kind of hoping Coach (Jimbo) Fisher or Coach Orgeron, one of those two gets it. That's what I want to see hopefully."
In addition to the Tigers, Akers is considering Ohio State, Tennessee, Florida State, Ole Miss and Georgia.
Akers is a five-star prospect, ranked No. 8 overall nationally according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. He's currently leading Clinton High School to an undefeated record and the No. 1 ranking in the state of Mississippi.
So that helps narrow the list down?

5 star RBs grow on trees out here. No need to make a decision for one of them that may come here

We'll need a replacement for Fournette and eventually Guice. Something to consider.

Brossette is another 5 star RB we have on the roster
We aren't hurting for RBs and probably never will be unless our recruiting goes to complete shite

Spencer Ware and Kheiland Williams were also 5 star running backs....

I think if anything, it shows that if we do bring in Jimbo or Herman, a LOT of effort needs to go in to keeping O.

High schoolers don't get to select our next coach.

WHOEVER gets hired ought to do everything possible to keep O.
Name him AHC, pay him over $1M - whatever it takes. Keep that man around.

No matter how good a recruit is, he should not dictate the hiring if a coach. The hiring of a coach should influence the commitment of a recruit and not the other way around. A fb program would be in big trouble if it let a recruit says who he wants to play for and yields to his desire.

Please don't take this thread too seriously.

I would hope that whoever makes this decision would not be swayed by the opinion of a 17 y/o high school recruit.

didn't Dylan Moses want us to keep Miles?

Some Catholic High fans might contend that Clyde Edwards-Helaire is even better than Guice.
