how exactly is it a cluster?

Because it's on Kelly's timeline and not yours?

It's pretty obvious they've been taking their time intentionally.

To believe this is a planned timeline is nieve. There is no advantage to not having CO's named before ESD.

I tend to agree that the LM’s are OTC in the LBC but it’s A&C to RFU

Has anyone considered just giving an EPC contract to an OBGYN by EOB tomorrow? That way it’s HBD to the NWA.

You don't think lsu could've gone out day 1 and thrown a shite ton of money at decent coordinators and had this wrapped up already?

They either chose that it wasn't as high of a priority as you think it is or their guys aren't available yet.

You think new hires would've changed anything with ESD?

And there’s obviously no advantage to hiring coordinators the way Ed O hired them either. You know, without even interviewing them.

No one gives a shite about ESD in the context of a coordinator hire. They are two completely separate and unrelated things in the grand scheme of things.

Kelly certainly doesn’t give 2 shits about making a hire by ESD, nor should he or any coach worth his salt be by some arbitrary and irrelevant “deadline.”

I’m not saying it was planned timeline. You’re thinking about it incorrectly. They’re trying to make the best hire and get someone they want to accept the position, simple as that, no one in charge is concerned with ESD in the context of making a coordinator hire, nor should they be.

Exactly.

My problem is with the folks who pop up and say how big of a shitshow this is SOLELY because they have dreamt up this deadline that they think is important.

All the while not having the faintest clue what has actually gone on during this search.

Not sure I want to see LSU running QB lead and QB dive 8-10 times a game. Not sure that is a sustainable path for success in the SEC.

If you remember watching Texas from the 2019 season, part of their issues was that their QB was beat up by mid season, and that was with a B12 schedule.

At some point the grind of a QB run game between the tackles in the SEC is going to limit the O.

I hear what you’re saying but you also can’t say that LSU has given us the warm and fuzzies in the past with coaching searches. Dragging their feet in the past didn’t exactly equate to a deliberate and calculated approach as much as it meant settling for the best of the worst that was left.

Ehlinger lead the team in carries for 3 of the 4 years he was there and the other year he was 2nd.

Herman runs the QB. That is what he does. Did the same at UH, but not as extreme
