Herman and Fisher are not the only 2 good options to be the next coach. 10 different people would have to say no before we get past your number 1.

Losing Aranda would only be a problem if the next guy in line replaces him with someone inferior.

When your DC is more valuable to your future success than your interim HC, maybe you shouldn't hire your interim. If we end up with Coach O without Aranda, we might not even see a bowl game next year. Just throwing that out there.

How do you know Coach O wouldn't go hire Todd Orlando from Houston, or maybe Pruitt wants more autonomy and he leaves Bama, or Derek Mason gets fired as HC from Vandy and comes here as DC?
With the money we pay assistants I think we would be able to find another elite DC

Bingo, add in people getting tape on our new offensive philosophy and having a full offseason to prep for it and it could go downhill in a hurry

if LSU sweeps the back end of it's schedule and tops it off with a big bowl game victory and then hires Coach O as the new head coach it could lead to 3 steps to the top of the SEC west

1.Herman/Fisher/whoever else don't come so we hire coach O
2. We lock up another solid recruiting class
3 Aranda gets picked up elsewhere so we replace him with another solid DC
