3 SEC DCs getting second interview with Vols. Les, Venables, and Morris are unlikely

Three candidates are undergoing second interviews with Fulmer’s University of Tennessee contingent in the Big Apple: Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt; Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele; and Georgia defensive coordinator Mel Tucker.

Les Miles, Chad Morris and Brent Venables, barring any late-breaking changes, do not appear to be in Fulmer’s plans for UT at this point.

I'm guessing they go with Mel Tucker. Guy has worked in the NFL a lot (including as an interim HC for Jacksonville).
Morris isn't happening cause Arkansas, and Venables is either staying at Clemson or going to hawgland with Morris

If it's Steele, just wave the white flag. He's the opposite of who they should hire if they want to be relevant again.

It's Tennessee, is there any doubt they will hire Steele?

Tucker ain't much better. Both are looking way up at Schiano.

I would say youre just being an arse, but it's Tennessee. They would do that

Fulmer seems to wanna micromanage things. Hell, as bad as the previous A.D. was, he had Leach in his back pocket till Fulmer didn't want him.

It's going to be Steele. You know subconsciously Phil will hold Pruitt and Tucker's Bama ties against them

TN has fallen, wow. Not even able to get young hot shots like Derek Dooley anymore. Unreal.

I would burn the town down if I was a Vol fan if he hires that joke.
Yeah, Steele has Bama ties too.

I think they already used that card

Definitely should be Pruitt or Tucker. Steele had a 1-31 conference record at Baylor. I'd rather go with a fresh HC.
Honestly i think Pruitt has a ton of potential but would hire Tucker.

The one thing that gives me a little hope is VQ said Tee is open to returning as OC and it doesn't just have to be under Steele.
Man, I could really get behind a Pruitt and Martin tandem. They would be young but that be a monster recruiting duo
