2nd Post Ever….yall bashed me on the 1st Post

As I said on my only other post here at TD I had learned from being in the most prestigious suite in Tiger Stadium during the Arkansas game that Kiffins wife would be traveling to BR on Monday. I took that info with a grain of salt…..then Monday came and it happen. Gave me confidence in my contact.
Iam now told by the same person that last Tuesday the deal with Lane was done and if something falls apart Verg and President Rousse will both be surprised. If it was any other Coach not named Lane Kiffin this thing would have no drama but knowing Lane’s past people like me are skeptical. Verge and our President are confident.

I won’t bash you, and I upvoted you. I appreciate you having the courage to post this. The folks here always bashing and calling for ban hammers are childish and probably have tiny peckers.

You don’t know me but Iam not a troller and I don’t post just to post. Like myself i realize how important this is to the program, the city and our state. Lane is the only coach out there that can have a huge impact on the field and economically.

Well you won't be any more right or wrong than most people here. I wouldn't even know where to pull the receipts when this is done cause there is too much stray voltage.

Well I was told as the Arkansas game ended the Kiffins were visiting Baton Rouge. At that point NOBODY was talking that until Monday morning. The person knows and in his mind as he told me today he did not leak a secret everyone understood that Lane Kiffin was our top choice.

LSU canceled a press conference to announce Pat Sullivan as its head coach.
Miles was going to Michigan...until he wasn't
Les Miles was carried off the field in his "Final game"...that literally 20 minutes later was announced not to be his final game.
LSU and Tom Herman were in talks to finalize a deal to bring him to LSU....then Texas fired their HC.
In EVERY SINGLE coaching search/rumor period someone (several someones) have come in here to proclaim a deal "done". However, age and experience tell you it's never "done" until it's done.

Yes. The OP is courageous as frick for posting on an account that was created 6 days ago that Lane Kiffin will be LSU's next head coach. I can't imagine the amount of courage it took to do that.

The same person also told me that we do have donors willing to pay for some of the BK buyout but they wanted LSU’s legal team to negotiate a reduced about before they committed an amount of their assistance.

I agree with you. But our AD and President believe they have a deal in place. As I understand it LK has to be careful what he signs while under contract with OM because it could breach his current contract. Sexton you would think is dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s.
