This is where the LSU Recovery (School and Football) needs to begin...

With a new Governor in office, the BOS, F King Alexander, Alleva, O, O's coordinators can all be corrected. The people of LA will have to make a better choice.

Until that time, we'll have to vote with our pocket books.

So, you think you're going to fix it by electing a guy more similar to the guy that put all of that in place?

I said last week, if Huey saw this shite going on, Alleva and FKA would be tarred and feathered and thrown out, and the BOS would be run out on a rail.

Dude was a crooked SOB, but he cared about LSU.

This is Louisiana. They won't have a choice but to elect a corrupt politicians who doesn't give a shite about them. Doesn't really matter if they are Republican or Democrat.

There has been some talk about Ralph Abraham possibly running in the next cycle. He is a Alum and a fan so maybe he can get this shite show back on track.

Jesus, you have really have no clue. One huge problem, the main problem, with UNELECTED boards running public institutions, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Foster, Blanco, Jindal, Edwards.... next up.

I’m not suggesting Jindal was better (I was disappointed by his promises vs his actions). We need to elect a governor that understands the importance of a great University system to the state’s economy... The football improvements will follow.

OP has a valid point. The governor appoints the BOS so he’s the head of the snake so to speak.
I would like to see a governor appoint LSU alums who have the best interest of the university in mind both academically and athletically. Althletics, especially football, contributes to and greatly affects the well being of the University. This is a huge issue and is the reason we are in the current situation.

Transitioning LSU to a strictly “Workforce development” institution( via unelected BOS) instead of an academic institution is one of the reasons we are in the mess we are in.
