Orgeron is considered an elite recruiter. More than that is required.

I'll say this I didn't know Day or Riley were elected recruiters as coordinators before being named head coaches. Can any provide stats of them being elite coordinators landing top talent?

Yeah because recruiting brain dead 5 stars is a sure recipe for success as proven by O.
You need someone that can evaluate character and talent. LSU has a bunch of weak minded pussies.

Personally I'd love for the new coach to be an offensive guru and attract top offensive recruits.

Orgeron is supposedly an elite recruiter. That was why he got the job remember? Recruiting and hiring the best coordinators. Aranda’s supposed weakness in recruiting was created in this board as a negative when the reality is, the defensive recruiting while he was DC was just as good if not better than before he arrived. Even if he is a weaker recruiter, that’s why you hire people that are experts at it to fill in the gaps. Head coaches aren’t going to be experts at everything.
