I read that, the information on the Chicago world’s fair was most interesting. I enjoyed the search for the serial killer, but after awhile some of the stuff he was doing started to creep me out.

There Will Be Fire - Rory Carroll

This is the story of the 1984 bombing in Brighton when the IRA tried to assassinate Margaret Thatcher. It was very well written, suspenseful and I could hardly stop reading it.

Dispatches from Pluto . It’s about this writer from NYC who moves to the MS delta and writes about it. It’s a really refreshing take and I’m enjoying it so far .

Listening to this currently - about halfway through

I have mostly short drives so a bunch of short stories fits my rhythm well and most have been at minimum enjoyable. A few better than that.

Hahaha I guess this says more about me but I skimmed over the first half talking all about the logistics of where to put the buildings and the park. I hated that part. Was more interested in Holmes . But man he was a monster. And such a conman. Glad he finally got what was coming to him

Agreed, aside from how interesting it was to read about the planning and famous figures involved, it read like a race against time. How could the architects pull it off? Knowing little about the fair I had no idea what was coming and what might go wrong.

Great book.

Back when the Ukraine conflict broke out, I did a double feature read of red famine and Gulag also by Anne applebaum.

If you’re interested for a read about Ukraines and its history and how it got to this point, The gates of Europe by Serhii Piloky

I've read every book in the series, some of them more than once. Might as well continue the series as it's now on to it's 2nd author after Flynn's passing in 2013. I'm some 150 pages deep in less than a day and it's a solid start from the new author Don Bentley so far

I found Sapiens to be a great read. I gave it 4 or 5 stars on good reads

Last 3 books. Have enjoyed them all. Blood Meridian took a while to get into.
