Still reading the David Wolf series by Jeff Carson, on book 6 now called Smoked Out. I’m really enjoying these books, I recommend them if you like easy mystery thrillers.

At the end of the first box set the author left his email address, I emailed him about how much I liked the books and he emailed back. Thought that was pretty cool.

Still reading Killers, but just finished Tress of the Emerald Sea (1st book of his secret project) - Brandon Sanderson

His description at the end comparing it to a whimsical tale like The Princess Bride is pretty spot on. Really enjoyed it. It’s my first Sanderson, so I’m not sure to go from there.

Neptune's Inferno by James Hornfischer about the naval campaign during the Guadalcanal campaign. His Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors about Leyte Gulf was excellent.

It would really depend on what you're in the mood for. Most people would say that Mistborn is probably the best entry point. I've recommended Mistborn and Warbreaker as first books depending on their taste/mood.

just finished that one and absolutely loved it.

not typical king; a little lighter but still full on king imagination.

Agreed. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well.

I started with Way of Kings from stormlight archives. Just rip the band-aid off and dive into the beast

I audible things now, did all 4 stormlight in July. Just finished Mistborn. Been a really fun summer of reading

I did not like Elantris. At least, the audio version bc I didn’t like the narrators voice.

Warbreaker I liked a lot. Stormlight Archives are neat too although I think I’ll miss the earlier stories of political backstabbing and survival. I hope it doesn’t go the direction of the game of thrones show lol.

Just finished Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. I really enjoyed it after not really loving anything she's done since Prodigal Summer.

Listening: Third book of the Memory, Sorrow, Thorn trilogy.

Like both a lot.
