I alternate between light and heavy.

Just finished Sacre Bleu by Christopher Moore, which is just as funny and well-researched as I expect all his stuff to be. Simply the best guy going in comic fantasy these days.

Just started The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and love it so far. Reminds me a lot of a modern day Great Expectations

Gonna start Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill tonight. About to be Halloween and have seen this several times on the board recommended so will give it a try.

Glad to hear a review. Of dragon teeth. I was curious. I’ll move on to other things.

I’m reading Tricked. Book 4 of the iron Druid series. Think I’m gonna move to Red Rising next.

Just finished Dan Simmons’ creepy/disturbing THE SONG OF KALI - set in Calcutta.

Am back inside Shelly’s FRANKENSTEIN (an on and off read). I want to finally finish reading this thing. Nothing like the old movies, which is ok, but...

Big Data Baseball by Travis Sawchick. The third book in the same vein that I've read. Basically the profile of a franchise that was mired in mediocrity (or worse) and used statistical analysis to bring about better on field results. The others were Moneyball and The Extra 2%. I could read one about every single franchise, if someone wrote one. Though I don't think there will be one about the Diamondbacks any time soon.

Just started Big Data and finally read Moneyball. Project have you read The Arm by Jeff Passan?

Just finished Slaughterhouse Five by Vonnegut. It's billed as "poignant and hilarious" but I just kept thinking "this poor dude came back from WWII with PTSD". Wouldn't recommend.

About to start Soon I Will Be Invincible based on recommendations here before tackling the heavier Churchill and Orwell : The Fight for Freedom by Thomas Ricks...

Just finished Clear and Present Danger as I work through the Jack Ryan series. Really good so far.

Taking a quick break to read the new Jack Reacher book that came out this week.

After playing and enjoying Witcher 3 I picked up the novels the game was based on.

There are quite a few and they are very good.
