The Seuss books are not "banned." The owners of the copyright have just decided not to publish any more of them. Yes, some booksellers have also chosen not to sell them.
Get back to me when it becomes ILLEGAL to own or sell them.

My biggest worry is that someone will ban documentaries and biography books because you can learn a lot from them that many people don't want to talk about.

It still qualifies as censorship and yes, banning, if the only medium that can legally print it chooses not to do so for the content.
First amendment violation and banning are not the same thing.
Corporations are damn good at censorship.
