Things are progressing pretty quickly. Are we sure Lucille ain't coming sooner than 16?

I'm pretty certain that Negan isn't appearing until the season finale.

It's been a while since I read this in the comics, but doesn't the attack happen like right now?

Yeah, they are changing up the events a little bit that lead up to the group's first confrontation with Negan himself.

ETA: I say that, but they can still make it kind of close to the comics, but they will need to some filler stuff to happen in an episode or two. It'll be interesting to see if Rick's motor home group stumbles upon the group of Saviors before they get back to Alexandria. Since Daryl already blew up one group, I don't know if they necessarily need to have the encounter with another group to cause Negan to want to go after Alexandria.

Question for you fans of TWD books...Are you generally less or more satisfied with the show version

Right now I'm enjoying the show more than the books.

I'm with you. The intro of Negan and All Out War is going to be great to see on TV. Minus all the F-bombs

Now what they do after All Out War is going to be interesting because it's was pretty boring after that.

I'm also interested in how that will work. I don't think they could do a time jump. Would be great if the show just goes its own direction at that point and then never catches up to the 7 year gap.

How many seasons will they draw out the Negan/war storyline? I'm thinking 2.

I read an article this week that after seeing FX getting away with an unbleeped "motherfricker" on "American Crime Story - People vs. OJ Simpson" that Gimple and AMC are exploring letting Negan's character be true to the his comic book character's penchant for profanity.

Did y'all catch what Jesus said about how Negan killed one of their own "Just to make a point, right off THE BAT"??

I normally don't have a problem posting in the no comics thread without giving anything away but that little easter egg was making me itch to post about it to tell folks "Remember that bat reference for later!!".

The comics have been treading water since the end of the war. Even with the introduction of the whisperers, I just don't see it having a any direction. It was bound to happen now that they are firmly planted in Alexandria. I would have to say tv show is more exciting for me, but the parallel part in the comics is the best as well.

I definitely think they could get 2 seasons.

I just can't wait to see the CGI Tiger

Or maybe they replace it with a kitty cat.

Really, where can you go after All Out War? They are now in a fortified town that is apart of a larger community that consists of all of the other large communities within traveling distance. There is really nowhere they can go without destroying the community, and forcing them back on the road (which would just be redundant). They are going to have to bring a bigger threat to their door than Negan, and I don't know if they can do that without us readers rolling out eyes at it.
