Almost finished with Word of Radiance but these two books are amazing. Highly recommend them to people who like fantasy books but aren't too serious about them.

Sanderson is a hell of an author.

Wait until you get to Oathbringer.
3 books in and it keeps getting better every book.

He's currently outlining Books 4 and 5, and will spend most of this year writing Book 4.
So...we'll get Book 4 late 2020 or early 2021.

I read the first one, and loved it. I need to get into the second one.
Its good to hear about an author actually authoring.

Sanderson is/has been a fricking machine. Hopefully, he can keep his pace, and finish his ambitious projects, into the long term.

it is kind of annoying that he writes so many different things concurrently though - if he dies in a plane crash in like 5 years, we are fricked.

I suppose slightly, but he says that's his process to avoid getting burned out on one setting. At least he makes goals, and sticks by them, to get back to his main works...unlike some folks.

I just hate waiting around to finish series - I really want to read Stormlight, because I enjoyed Wax & Wayne so much - but don't want to get into it until there are more books done, especially since Wax & Wayne still has one more book (and dropped a huge bombshell at the end of the last one).

Isn’t it supposed to be 2 sets of 5 books for the total series.
The second 5 sort of a sequel to the first?
If so, I’ll start after book 5 is out

I'm not exactly sure - I can get in on that action at 5 as long as its a real story in the set of 5 with a real stopping point and all.
Some of the "sectional" series people put out don't really have satisfying conclusions at the end of their sections if you know what I mean.
ETA: Sanderson has noted that it is essentially a reset with the second 5 starting a new arc which ties strongly into the first arc.
It really is incredible to watch the evolution of the genre as young authors come in with new ideas for set and setting as well as story structure after seeing what did and did not work for the authors that came before them.

It’s so good. I’m on a tractor, combine or cotton picker for most of the year so I listen to a lot of audio books.
Storm light Archives was the high point of my year

I am 75% through The Way of Kings and love it. took me about a third of it to get the hang of his style in this series. Finished mistborn series in a few months and enjoyed it but this appears much much deeper.
My one question is, does anyone actually have sex in his books? i mean mistborn had lots of dismembering and decapitating, but no one fricked and it appears this is the same.

He's Mormon, so I doubt it.

It's implied a few times...isn't it?

But I can only fap to literature if it has good description of what is going on.

Ha! It really helps if there are pictures! Hell, even the A Song of Ice and Fire books aren't nearly as graphic in the details of the sex scenes as what appears on the show.
But do tell us more about your reading-time fapping, Sally. Is that when you're the most Sneaky?

I've been banned from several public libraries and am not allowed within 500 feet of any school camups.
Audiobooks can be either great or awesome depending on the narrator.
