I had enough of that when I attended Catholic school in middle school. If you like reading a bunch of contradictions it is THE book to read.

Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates: The Forgotten War that Changed American History

Think we've been putting up with Islamic terrorist bull shite only since the 70's? Think again. This book is insightful that "Islamic Terrorism" is nothing new.

It also underlines that appeasement has NEVER worked, and WILL NEVER work.

I see some good ones, and I will add The Old Man and The Sea, and certainly reiterate The Grapes of Wrath and Gatsby. Especially for Americans to experience the Zenith of American literature. Talk about lessons in humility from the first two, and the dangers of unbridled excesses in the last.

Up From Slavery by Booker T. Washington. We'd be a much better society if everybody read it.
