and I read David Baldacci's series of books for fun as well.

I'm awaiting the final book in the Red Sparrow trilogy due out tomorrow.

Once I'm done with that, I'll be looking to branch off into something new but in sort of the same genre. Any recommendations?

Also, I tend to "read" via audiobook due to my long commute to work. I can run through an entire novel in about a week and a half in my commute by itself.

Ive read both of those you mention, and I also love these so far as well but they are different genres.

Iron Druid series, Three Body Problem series.

Have you read Eye of the needle by Ken Follett?

Eye of the Needle is a good call if you haven't read Follett. Robert Ludlum (pretty much anything) and Jack Higgins (mostly awesome, I'd start with The Eagle has Landed) are both very good if you haven't read them.

Brad Thor's Scott Harvath series
Brad Taylor's Pike Logan series
Michael Connelly's Lincoln Lawyer and Harry Bosch series.

I second this. I've slowed way down reading so much with my new job but I have enjoyed this series almost as much as the Mitch Rapp one

Mark Greaney Gray Man series. I haven't read it, but it gets pretty good reviews.

I love the way the Scot Harvath series started incorporating historical aspects and spins to the shooting people and shite up side

Loved Mitch Rapp series. Hated the Pike series. Go with the other posters recommendation of Iron Druid. It's the most entertaining audio book experience I have had. It's wonderful.

Oberon is just about the best character I've "read" I say read because I listen to them and Luke Daniels does a great job.

The Nowhere Man series by Gregg Hurwitz has been very enjoyable.
Scott Brick is perfect for it.

The Greaney stuff is a cut below Rapp and definitely below Red Sparrow IMO

It may be entertaining, but it seems more dumbed down. I like Thor ok, but his stuff is a cut below too.

John Wells (Alex Berensen) and Gabriel Allon (Daniel Silva) are probably probably more substantive than the Mitch Rapp books and at the top of the pile of that type of novel, in my opinion. I just find myself going "oh give me a break" much less often.

Red Sparrow is in an entirely different category to me, those are much weightier books all around.

I’m on 14/16 of the Mitch rapp series and have enjoyed most of them so far. A friend at work who reads a lot recommended “I am pilgrim”. He said it’s one of the best books he’s ever read.

Jack Carr is a Navy SEAL cum author. His new book The Terminal List is getting good reviews by The Real Book Spy and is recommended by Brad Thor, who I’m totally in love with by the way.
