I never considered the fake aegon thing until reading the theories. I guess i figured the hair was pretty much proof

The hair could be a red herring...the Blackfyres (who have Targ lineage) had the silver hair, as well as people with old Valyrian blood. For instance, Aurane Waters/House Velaryon had Valyrian features, and the Daynes had purple eyes.

Rewatching the HBO series. Khal Drogo dominates.

Daenerys really fricked him over by letting that lady poison his wound

But she got three dragons out of it, so there's that
Posted on 8/8/13 at 8:08 pm to Hugo Stiglitz
Yeah, that's true. But I want to see the dragons in action in Westeros!!
And to add to the crackpotness of this thread, I really like this thread on ASOIAF forum about if Jon stole Val, albeit unintentionally, and how she is accepting of it. Good read.
Did Jon steal Val?

I think one of things that will either disprove or confirm Aegon's parentage is whether or not he ends up with the Targ Valaryian sword Blackfyre. Blackfyre was given to Daemon Blackfyre on his father's deathbed when he was legitimized. It was then taken to the Free Cities by Bittersteel after Daemon was killed at the battle of the Redgrass Field. It was passed from Blackfyre to Blackfyre until Maelys the Monstrous was killed in the War of the Nine Penny Kings. After that it went missing.
If Aegon should come into possession of Blackfyre, than that will confirm that he is in fact another Blackfyre pretender and not a true Targ. I recall some talk of a sword whenever Tyrion was going to meet Griff and bring supplies. That could have been it.

God I hope so. I've said from the get go that I'd much rather see him with Val then Dany when it's all said and done.

Also if I remember correctly someone is toting around some tapestries that may potentially have a sword in it (looking back I believe it's Littlefinger). Some suspect this could be the same sword.

I've heard this one is Dawn. It wouldn't make sense for Littlefinger to have Blackfyre since Maeyls died on the Stepstones and the sword was taken back to the Free Cities. If I remember correctly Illyrio says that only the male line of the Blackfyres was extinguished so it's possible that the female line continued until a male heir was born. Serra was actually a Blackfyre and Illyrio and her had Aegon.

I don't think Jon and Dany will get together romantically. Neither are the other's type. Plus Jon is possibly her nephew .
I think Jon 'stole' Val (unintentionally) and she'll play a role in resurrecting him. There's theories about how Dalla and Val are priestesses of the Old Gods. I don't see Jon going back to his vows once he is back. He's going to feel betrayed.

That would almost be a bonus in Westerous

But seriously, Jon would probably think Dany is an immature girl, and Dany would think Jon is not romantic, no big muscles, doesn't look like Drogo or Daario, etc.

Bumping from the depths of the 3rd page.
And just some interesting notes on my re-read of CoK. Just finished the other night the Theon chapter where he's dreaming and sees Winterfell full of the dead. Good stuff. Especially when he sees Lyanna with her crown of blue roses and a white dress covered in "gore". I knew we've speculated about it before, but it could give a nod to the theory that Rhaegar may have actually married Lyanna and by Targ custom legitimizing Jon. And of course poor Robb and Grey Wind coming through the door bleeding and full of arrow marks.
Also enjoyed the dream in one of Jon's chapters when he's out with Qhorin Halfhand and he dreams of the pack ( )and of the Weirwood with Bran's face.

Jon would hate dany, imo. Dany is super entitled for someone coming from her situation.

Dany likes douchebags like most women. Jon is a nice guy, she will friend zone his arse.

Do you think GRRM if and when he finishes the series may rerelease the book in ebook form and just combine everything?
Posted on 8/10/13 at 3:17 pm to OMLandshark
Cosmo, I don't think you'll have to worry about Jon feeling like he's upset about being friend-zoned; I think Jon would be okay with that since he's not into immature, snobby women like Dany. If anything, Jon will be the one to put Dany in the friend-zone...*if* they ever meet (who knows with GRRM), I would imagine she would be the one who would have the unrequited feelings, not Jon.
As for this:
When you say e-book, do you mean Kindle/Nook? Or, do you mean that George will release all 7 books on Kindle/Nook but combined into roughly one big-arse, 6,000 paged book?
