i'm still intrigued by all the other dragon legends from around the world.
Thought about this the other day. There's so much talk about Stannis and the stone dragons that they have to come into play at some point, right?

they're actually carrying out some sort of (questionably) good intention from whoever is controlling them.

I'd be so on the zombie bandwagon if this were the case.

True, but its just mentioned so much. Just like Jon talks about Benjen Stark 24/7. Why would he mention him in over 10 chapters if he was just dead and didn't come in somewhere in the future story? I kind of get that same feeling with the stone dragons.

He's going to be Ramsay level cray if I had to guess. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point Bran and Rickon had to face off in some sort of duel. After all, GRRM is all about inlaying "kinslaying" into his stories and the issues it presents. Wouldn't surprise me.
I agree. I just can't see Rickon coming back to Winterfell or wherever and being a honorable type person and acting like he has lived a normal life.
I think Bran/Rickon will end up good vs evil in one way or another.

Couldn't agree more. There's something deeper going on there, and I really think he's going to hit us with the curveball that they're actually carrying out some sort of (questionably) good intention from whoever is controlling them. Martin's mantra is making you hate something then showing you why you were retarded for not putting yourself in their shoes and seeing their point of view. I think this is what lies in store with the Others.
I have always gotten the impression that bran and the others would end up being connected in some form (maybe he can warg into an Other? learn their true intentions? something like this)
I think it would be a fitting end if the remaining stark children all banded together at the end and fought off the others or something.
Sansa controlling the vale, arya doing god knows what, bran doing warg things, rickon who knows (controlling winterfell? controlling wildlings?) and then jon snow as the king (whole azor azhai thing). Basically the only way the entire realm can come together is with the stark children controlling a various aspect of it. It would just be fitting given the shite storm they have been through.
Granted knowing GRRM, someone terrible will end up running things at the end

Every time I have a thought like this, I think back to the whole "Who tried to assassinate Bran?" thing. Was it Baelish trying to start a Stark-Lannister war?? Tyrion protecting the family name? Jaime trying to finish the job? What power player would send an assassin for a 10 year old?
2-3 books later, nope, it was just a teen misunderstanding and trying to impress daddy if i'm remembering right. Makes me think book 7's prologue will be someone finding Benjen's body, and it'll be like "oh, well, guess he really was dead all this time, not sure why anyone expected different in these conditions *looks at the readers*" cause, you know, GRRM is a dick and hates happiness.

shite. He'll have Benjen Stark leading the Others. And Jon will have to "kill him". Because him just being dead wouldn't be enough.

Didn't someone say that GRRM dispelled the theory that Benjen was Coldhands? Sorry, but GRRM has to be trolling us. It just makes too much sense that CH is BS.
Ok wait, nevermind. It makes sense so it can't be true.

I told my buddy the other day, Viserys wakes up from a dream and says, "you have awoken the dragon". The end.

Comet out of nowhere kills everyone similar to the Doom of Valaryia.
The End.

Well yeah he says he was killed long ago. But that doesn't mean he had to have been killed hundreds of years ago. Regardless, whoever he actually is has to be somewhat important right? Otherwise he would have just told them his name immediately.

He has to be a Stark

Its probably the only ending we haven't speculated. At this point there wont be any surprise for anyone unless that's the ending. Or the comet/greyscale. I would destroy multiple windows and small mammals if any of those were the case.

I think Littlefinger's tactic of borrowing from the Iron Bank will cause way more chaos than what everyone thinks.
Stark and Lannister war. (although pretty over with)(Sansa could come back from the Eyrie and uniting everyone again with Littlefingers help so he can have her and the glory)
Dorne and Greyjoy's coming in.
Targ invasion.
Littlefinger borrowing so much from the bank.
The rebels all over the place.
Unless Cercei dies and the Lannisters have no more threat, I don't see them joining anybody.
What is Stannis going to do? Is he going to refuse Mel to fight the Others while the war of the throne is taking place.

I've seen a bunch of theories that CH could be the Night's King, Night King's son, Brandon Snow, Bran the Builder, etc, but I had another theory.
“Old ghosts, from before the Old King, even before Aegon the Dragon, seventy-nine deserters who went south to be outlaws. One was Lord Ryswell’s youngest son, so when they reached the barrowlands they sought shelter at his castle, but Lord Ryswell took them captive and returned them to the Nightfort. The Lord Commander had holes hewn in the top of the Wall and he put the deserters in them and sealed them up alive in the ice. They have spears and horns and they all face north. The seventy-nine sentinels, they’re called. They left their posts in life, so in death their watch goes on forever. Years later, when Lord Ryswell was old and dying, he had himself carried to the Nightfort so he could take the black and stand beside his son. He’d sent him back to the Wall for honor’s sake, but he loved him still, so he came to share his watch.”
Could CH be one of the 79 sentinels? He died long ago and was in the NW. The NW members that CH killed were probably the ones who killed Mormont, so CH would still be "faithful" to the NW.

I don't think he or anyone else will have a chance. The war at the wall has begun with the incident at Hardhome and Eastwatch. shite has officially hit the fan. It will be a matter of days before the Others are at the wall and the battle we've been waiting for for 5 books is going to happen.
Bart Scott can't wait.
