I have to say "A Feast for Crows" is an absolute chore to go through. Wish I could be a part of this thread.

He will be dying and with his last bits of strength, he will choke Cersei to death, fulfilling the valonqar prophesy. They will die in each other's arms, a poetic ending to their romance story arc.

Or he will let Brienne kill him

Maybe, but I will feel satisfied that he really became a great character first. It won't be like when Ned dies so suddenly.

You just won't get off this theory huh? It would be a fitting end, and would fit GRRM. Another Lannister Kinslayer, perfect.

It really is a great book. Trust us. The last few hundred pages are incredible. I couldn't put the book down.

I'm only 250 pages in as of right now. Don't have as much free time as I did last month, so I'm reading slower than I was (read the first 3 books in 4 weeks). I'm not liking having the perspective of people I've never met before really. I am very much enjoying Cersei's chapters though. I love how much she thinks she's in charge, but is only an absolute pawn in the game.

See I thought the same thing. Until i re read it. All the little hidden clues in Feast are outstanding. Its a great piece of writing its just not as action packed as SOS

Can Jamie fulfill the valonqar prophesy?

quote:

"And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

I wonder if Jamie is missing one of the necessary "hands" to do the choking.

Also, the use of the word valonqar tends to make me think this younger sibling will be associated with the east. Could it be that Tyrion does have Targ blood?

Well there is the theory that Aerys is actually Tyrions father. I don't buy it though.

I also thought AFFC was better the second read.

I read it concurrently with Dance and thought it was much better than as a individual volume. GRRM should have split AFFC and Dance chronologically, rather than geographically.

Wait what? Tyrion is all Lannister. It was his last words to his father, and he was right. If Tyrion were not a dwarf and he didn't kill his mother in childbirth and somehow had his exact same personality, I'd be willing to bet he would have been Tywin's favored child.

Am I the only one that thinks that Victarion could possibly be AA? I know there are theories about him on Westeros.org, but I can't help but think that he is something greater than what he is portrayed to be.

He is one of my favorite characters, behind Rhaegar, and I hope he doesn't get fricked over.

Thats why I don't buy it. However one of the theories is that Aerys raped Joanna (wasn't that her name?) and Tyrion is the spawn of that rape.

I thought AFFC was an excellent book and I've only read it once. I know it gets alot of grief, but I loved it. I read it faster than all of the other books. I thought it was very well written.

Wouldn't Tyrion have just been aborted then or Tywin would have never put up with Tyrion's presence in the first place? Plus if Aerys did that to Tywin, and his wife died from such a childbirth of his spawn, there's no way in hell he'd let him into the city to sack King's Landing. He was crazy for sure, but not that dumb.

Well the theory says that Tywin didn't want it publicly known due to the shame it would bring on the Lannister name. They cite this as the reason that Tywin resigned as hand (even though we know that was because Aerys practically called the Lannisters "the help") and why Tywin stormed kings landing.

Nerds nerdier than us apparently

That is probably one of the most ridiculous ones I've ran across. Though Tyrion does have some Targaryen tendencies. One purple eye, a fascination with dragons etc etc.

It's like they just take 1 thing and then blow it up into a huge theory
