I'm a Tudor England fan (and Ancient Greece and Rome) but I love learning about the history and all the other players and GRRM has made a whole new world w/ it's own histories. I can just sit here and soak up more and more info

It's actually based loosely on the War of the Roses. But I agree all the backstory is fabulous.

Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is the theory on why Aegon is a Blackfyre? I remember the warning against the mummer's dragon, but I just took that as a generic warning against Varys' hidden Targ.
