I just don't think he has a clue on how to get the plots back together. He bit off more than he could chew with books 4/5 and now is having a hard time reuniting the characters.

I mean if that fat bastard was even nominally less successful, his publisher would kick him to the fricking curb.

I thought I read somewhere on here that he was getting somebody else to finish the books for him?

That was only a BS rumor. He's said if he dies, then the series dies with him, and the only end we'll be getting is from the show. To be honest I think he treats his fans even worse than Lucas does these days.

Wow, what a piece of shite he is.

And that piece of shite is gonna die soon. He's a fatass and getting up there in years, he's almost 70. He'll be lucky to see 75 I bet.

Well, if he's dead that will be up to the Paris chick. He's made his wishes clear but a big payday has been known to change things. I think Robert Jordan made similar comments about WoT and Sanderson was commissioned within a year of his death.

Wut? You think wrong. Jordan had many faults, but one thing he didn't do was screw over his fans when he knew he wouldn't finish the series. He left massive in depth notes as to what would happen with the series so Sanderson could finish it the way he wanted him to.

So Sir Eats-A-Lot is back in the news responding to his fans: 'Game of Thrones' author 'trying' to deliver next book
quote:

And when a fan suggested some were concerned Martin, 68, might not live to finish the book, the author was not amused.

"I don't see speculation about the possibility of my death as any sort of compliment," Martin wrote. "My own hope is to live another thirty years and write thirty more books."

The chances of GRRM living 30 more years and writing 30 more books are about the chances of yoga girl becoming President.

quote:

Reader William Gicking defended Martin's right to have other interests. "I would say if you feel like you wanna write a Wild Cards story then that is what you should write," he wrote. "Readers will complain no matter what and you only live once so you might as well follow your inspiration wherever it may take you."

And to cuck reader William Gicking, I've probably invested, I don't know, about 300-400 dollars on this franchise as a whole, so the fat bastard owes me one. You just don't go cold turkey on your investors and then say "oh your investors are the selfish ones when they're mad about not getting the finished product". Stop enabling this fat lazy bastard, you cucks.

Oh and the reddit thread immediately starts off by telling George to not read since the comments are mean: LOL

Honestly, Martin has very little incentive to finish the books right now. He's never been more famous and relevant; that would all go away if he finished the books.

Plus, he can wait for this season of GoT to air, then can adjust his story to what works good or doesn't.

I hate to admit it, but we likely will not see Winds by the holidays.

I've said this myself (even in this very thread of threads) and I still believe it. I don't think anything positive would come of him publishing anything ASoIaF (besides calendars, histories, D&E) until GoT is over.

He has told many of how it ends. A shadow writer would finish it, and probably faster.

He named his 'son' Tyrion, this was post Tywin's murder. That infuriated Cersei, she tried to have him killed.

This thread was created after Dance with Dragons was released and it has 1034 pages. That is about 1000 more pages available online than GRRM has put out on Winds of Winter.

Thank god we have a TV show.
