I will vomit if this is the case, but I fear you're right.

Look if Dany doesn't set sail in the show then her story will have had no purpose. Considering every character and damn near every line in the show has had a purpose, I doubt they will have built her up for no damn reason. The name of the books is a Song of Fire and Ice. She's Fire, Jon's Ice. George always tells you what's going to happen before it happens. He already told you who this story is about in the title alone.

She's going to have a khalasar, a the second sons, and the unsullied. And Dragons. It'd be like the the '27 Yankees saying that they aren't going to take the field because the time doesn't feel right.

My point is she should be sailing by the end of this finale tops. It's fricking bullshite that it takes her 8 seasons to reach Westeros.

I think they need to give her a reason to sail first. Hell maybe she sets sail the middle of next season and arrives during Episode 9. Takes over Casterly Rock, and then begins to go about her business in Westeros in the finale.

Aren't D&D still claiming that the show will end at 7 seasons?

No. That was a clickbait article.

Plus isn't there significance to Gilly's son being either the 99th or 100th son of Craster? And the WW's don't have him.

I always wondered if that kid would play some part - kind of an anti-white walker or something. But I think they're running out of both narrative time in terms of episodes and time for him to grow up so I'm kind of doubting he'll end up important.

Euron is pretty much her only hope.

According to Cersei in AFFC, he commands over 1000 ships.

Pretty much a given that Euron gets her back to Westeros.

What he expects in return is anybody's guess.

Not Euron himself of course - in the books he sent his brother Victorian who was his own kind of crazy though a bit different from Euron's crazy. I kind of doubt Euron will go himself in the show, though it certainly is possible.

Lord Bloodraven told Bran- you can't stay under the sea.
And then damp-hair appears.

Patchface was under sea for a while.

Patchface has been dead on-

-he predicted shadow killing Renly to his niece Shireen Baratheon
The shadows come to dance, my lord, dance my lord, dance my lord. The shadows come to stay, my lord, stay my lord, stay my lord

-Battle of Blackwater- to everyone
Under the sea, smoke rises in bubbles, and flames burn green and blue and black. I know, I know, oh, oh, oh

-Red Wedding to Davos
"Fool's blood, king's blood, blood on the maiden's thigh, but chains for the guests and chains for the bridegroom, aye aye aye"

-Three Eved Rave/Bran/Patchface
Clever bird, clever man, clever clever fool…

So moving forward- any therories?

"Under the sea the mermen feast on starfish soup, and all the serving men are crabs"

"The crow, the crow. Under the sea the crows are white as snow, I know, I know, oh, oh, oh"

Yeah, it took stannis and davos to sail from westeros to essos back to westeros in 2 episodes. And they didn't even have a dragon.

Unless something happens in the last third of book 5 that I haven't gotten to yet, I never got any indication in any of the books that Victorian was particularly crazy. He carries some baggage from what Euron did to him/his wife, but I wouldn't call him crazy.

Has anyone ever attempted to name R+L=J?

If not...I really like The Howlandareedian Theorem.

Open to suggestions, of course.

Dany is not sailing to Westeros; Her, Tyrion, and an unknown third memeber will ride dragons into Dragonstone.

I may be misremembering. It's been awhile since I've read the chapters. I just remember stuff with his arm being turned black by that red priest (Moroquo?) while they were locked in his cabin and his screams were heard for a long time throughout the ship. It just seemed like he went a little loco (or more loco) after that. And I was thinking there was an episode with a monkey tormenting him but that might have been one of his captains.

Wiki OI&F has GRRM calling him dumb as a stump and a dullard and a brute so maybe he's just kinda slow and not necessarily crazy.

They will defeat the walkers by flooding them.

Could be about the faceless men or Iron Islands

Mermen =men who worship the drowned god

All the serving men are crabs =all men must serve

Just spitballing here
