I have read one second after and Alas, Babylon but I am looking for other books similar. What you got?

Probably the only post apocalyptic novel I’ve ever read was The Stand by Stephen King.
One that has caught my eye that I kind of want to read is Into the Guns by William C. Dietz. But I haven’t gotten around to it yet.

When Worlds Collide

The Stand was a great book. The mini series with Gary Sinese, Molly Ringwald, Rob Lowe, Ruby Dee and Bill Fagerbakke was pretty damned good too.

Depends on what you want. There’s so many.
If you’re looking for something military esq like one second after you could try the last ship.
Science fiction lists are much longer.
The road. Cormac McCarthy
Station eleven
Bird box
The gone away world. This one is original and written by John la Carrés son.
The girl with all the gifts.
That’s all I can think of right now.
On the beach.
The postman.
The passage by justin cronin is also good. A vampire plague ends the world. It's a trilogy.

Yeah read the sequel One Year After, and a third came out recently, The Final Day.
And if you like Forstchen, another one that is pretty popular along those lines is Lights Out. It’s long but if you like After you’ll like that one too I’d think.
I LOVE On the Beach. It is much older so has a different kind of vibe as most of the recent stuff in the genre, but it is really good. More of a classical novel feel than some of the newer stuff.
My favorite though, is World War Z. It isn’t really about the zombies imo. It’s just a really interesting and smart, well thought out take on how different areas of the world would be affected and how governments would respond in any sort of pandemic/nuclear scenario. A very good read.
And some that others have already mentioned that I second, The Road is fantastic. A true literary masterpiece by a great modern American writer.
The Postman and Alas Babylon are great as well.

Alas, babylon is one of my all time favorites. So is The Stand.
The Road is good but I feel like it gets overhyped.
