I just finished it. Quick and entertaining read. Had some good insights into his movie career.
When he decided to ditch Rom-Coms he turned down roles for almost 2 years without any serious roles coming in. He was offered $5M for a rom-com role for 2 months of shooting turned it down and kept turning it down with a final over of $14.5M
He actually made up the term McConaissance and told a reporter in an interview that another journalist just called it a "McConaissance" and then it took off
They wanted him to play Marty instead of Rusty in True Detective ( I think this was known)
To lose weight for Dalls Buyers club he had 3 egg whites for breakfast, 5 oz of fish and a cup of veggies for lunch and dinner and all the wine he wanted.
Woody Harrelson was tabbed to play the lead in A time to kill, but then John Grishams friend Bill Savage was murdered and the killers were inspired by the movie Natural Born Killers and Grisham refused to cast Woody.

yeah he was on Rogen too. He narrates the audio book so i might give that a listen
I want to hate him and roll my eyes but he genuinely seems like a cool dude. Id love to sit by a campfire and smoke a bowl with him. Id just sit back and listen

He was on cowherd yesterday and it was a pretty cool interview. I truly think Matt is a genuine guy and what you see is what you get. Might have to check out his book.

He told the 14 million dollar offer story on PMT.

I just finished listening to his narration of the audiobook. Would highly recommend. His stories are very entertaining, and he's just so likable and positive.
