42 completed out of my goal of 60. Gonna reevaluate my goal when I finish #60. I think 75 may be realistic. I always read less often during football season

Half way through the year. This is a good time to update your reading list so far.

At 16 of 24 and halfway through Malazan Book of the Fallen book 6 The Bonehunters. Planning on finishing this and book 7 by then planning reread of Mistborn era two to get ready for the launch of book 4 of that. Finish out Malazan to complete the year. Will need a new series for next year, been thinking Black Company or trying Abercrombie’s series.

Another bump.

Glad this year has gone as well as it has for me, but I haven’t exactly been reading anything “heavy” or “deep.” Haha.

I haven't sat down to read a book in way too long. My wife is the reader in the family and has read 191 on her kindle mostly those romance novels. We have a 2nd grader who is big into accelerated reader. I took him to the library today, and decided that I would start the Jack Reacher books. I watched the Amazon series and really seemed to enjoy it. I will probably hit 8-10 books this year.

gave up on the Bible in a Year in March

It's hard to do. The way I read through it was a minimum of 2 chapters a day.
Sometimes more but I'd try for at least 2. Took awhile (more than a year) but I was able to do it thankfully.

Doing something like this might make it easier fir you if you attempt again

Get to All Quiet on the Western Front. I read it multiple times. Catch 22 is a bit overrated. Take your time reading Walden

I was surprised at how good Dracula was. Also, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

I've finished book 30 so far, and I only aimed for 35 this year. Should be able to finish strong. I've admittedly read much shorter books this year rather than the huge fantasy epics.

Yeah I was amazed.
Made me sad it wasn't one of the classics I had to read in school.
