Earlier this week former NFL sideline reporter and current host Charissa Thompson made waves when she revealed that she would make up sideline reports during games....
quote:

"I've said this before and I haven't been fired for saying it, but I'll say it again," Thompson said during her appearance on Pardon My Take. "I would make up the reports sometimes because the coach wouldn't come out at halftime or it was too late and I didn't want to screw up the report."

So I was like, 'I'm just going to make this up.' Because, first of all, no coach is going to get mad if I say, 'Hey we need to stop hurting ourselves, we need to be better on third down, we need to stop turning the ball over...'" she said adding more generic coach speak.
That upset a lot of her fellow sideline reporters... (The Spun)

It's okay because CNN "reporters" do the same thing...

Yawn, no one cares what these bottle blondes on the side lines think. You are not "journalists" you are eye candy.

If they're serious journalists, why are none of them fat old men?

these people act as if anything said by the coach at halftime is some groundbreaking shite. its the most predictable shite ever and a waste of tv time.

Her saying she just makes stuff up sometimes makes their job sound more useless than it already is. Makes sideline reporters sound like blonde airheads and they probably don't want that.

These girls are acting like this is on par with Dan Rather’s fake memos on Bush.

Who cares? Unless it was ‘The Pirate’, it’s all obvious coach speak. I don’t even know why they do it.

Instead of being a dummy and saying “idc what these blondes say, it’s just a waste of time.” Remember and think about how much money she makes — she admits to making things up.

This is only men or Holly Rowe have any cred as sideline reporters.

Sideline women are purely there for eye candy. It's hilarious how they don't grasp that fact.

She may not be the best sideline reporter but have any of these other broads cared about us enough to show us their cooter ?
No ! Never change Charissa. Never change !

There are some good sideline reporters doing this: Holly Rowe, Tracy Wolfson and she used to be on NBC...Stafoya? But they start out as eye candy and you can't fire em when the candy part is gone so they end up still being somewhat useful. How'd we find out about Burreaux's wrist last night? Somebody's gotta do it, just as well be a lil T&A.
