How Much Money Would Deshaun Watson Would Lose If He Sits Out Entire 2021 Season?
© Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports
It's looking like QB Deshaun Watson will sit out games next season if the Texans don't meet his demands of a trade. So, what kind of money would he be leaving on the table if he doesn't play? Per Pro Football Talk...

At a base salary of $10.54 million, that’s $620,000 per game. If, as expected, the 2021 season has three preseason games, he’d lose another $1.86 million.

Thus, for the offseason, training camp, and preseason, Watson would incur $3.653 million in fines if he doesn’t show up.

If Watson then skips the season — and if the NFL stages 17 games — he’d lose another $11.16 million in base salary.

Any money lost would be offset by the profits from being able to day trade without interruption.

So is it white privilege when Matthew Stafford asked to get traded? Or how about when JJ Watt asked to get released from his contract?

Why not just take one snap, kneel down. Then go sit on the bench. Technically it’s be playing without actually playing.

That's really not that bad. I could see him doing it.
