Back so soon? According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, former New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton, who just retired last season, might return sooner than later. Apparently, there are three possible teams that could "draw Payton's interest" next offseason...
quote:

The source - emphasizing that Payton would never lobby for a filled job - said Miami is among the teams that would interest him, and he knows that first-hand. But the associate said he could also see Dallas and the Chargers among other teams that would interest Payton should their jobs become open.

Apparently Payton is done with New Orleans like any other sane person.

This is good news for saints. We need him to accept a job in the next 3 seasons so that they will owe us draft pics.

So what kind of pics are we talking about? Like pictures from the draft?

I don't see where Payton said he had any interest, just an associate saying he could see Payton having interest.

Good. This raises the asking price. God knows Stripper Skylene is high maintenance.

Im convinced that Payton's pretty new wife is the main reason that he left the Saints. The Saints are a legitimate contender this year with all the new and existing players on their roster. I believe she wanted the move more than Sean did but now he's gone. If he does end up someplace else, he will realize just how good he had it in New Orleans. They could have and maybe should have fired him after the bountygate scandal.

New Orleans is a shithole worth abandoning.

Correct. She didn't like feeling unsafe in the city. True story.

Pretty sure he lived in Mandeville... him driving over the causeway into Metairie is hardly a dangerous proposition. The drive doesn't go through a war zone. He would rarely come near orleans except on game days.
