What will he do after retiring? Per Yahoo! Sports’ Pete Thamel...
quote:

Meyer is expected to spend more time with his family, which includes one grandchild and another on the way. He may consider television work and could potentially do work with the Ohio State athletic department in some capacity. That role could include mentoring coaches and leaders, as Meyer has maintained a strong relationship with Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith.

Say what you want about the guy, he was a great Head Coach. Anyone who played ball in highschool pre social justice warrior era knows arse-hole coaches that treat players like shite are just par for the course. Meyer is just an a-hole coach who knew how to win. The End.

"We've seen this movie before. He'll take a year off then be hired by Notre Dame." They are not firing Brian Kelly after the season they just had.

Is this part of a plea deal to keep himself, or his wife, out of the hoosegow?

This business will chew you up and spit you out. Enjoy being a grandparent (remember, you can send them home!)

Smells like part of a deal between him, tOSU, and his past assistant.

He is a great coach and won big at three schools and three conferences. Any program would take him in a heartbeat. Hope he gets well.
