Lane Kiffin has hired 24-year-old Charlie Weis Jr. as FAU’s offensive coordinator. If the name looks familiar, he is the son of former Notre Dame and NFL coach Charlie Weis. He also previously worked with Kiffin as an offensive analyst at Alabama.
quote:

"He's way ahead of his time in how he sees the game, his football IQ and just his overall intelligence," Kiffin told ESPN. "He's been around the game with his dad being a coach, a lot like I was when I was growing up, and has a bright future."

At 11, he accomplished just as much as his father did at Notre Dame.

This is pretty much the exact opposite of hiring SE at LSU. What a world we live in.

Let's be honest, this kid will be the OC like Pete Carmichael is with the Saints. Payton and Kiffin hold the play sheet and call the shots unless a blowout ensues.
