MLB Umpire Joe West was pegged by a baseball from the stands during the Miami/Milwaukee game on Friday night at Miller Park. That's scary...

" I bet the perp couldn't do that again in 100 throws..." Who gives a shite? Way more impressive to only need one.

He is a grade A a-hole. I am not condoning the fan who hit him, just pointing out Joe West is a piece of shite.

I'll never understand ump hate. These guys are there to do a Job. They deal with these crazy ego maniac baseball players every day

Then you don't know Joe West. Dude thinks he's above the game, regularly makes horrendous calls, and is an all around arse hat.

"a-hole" and "piece of shite" is a bit strong. But West does believe he's God and above the game. He's been the center of a lot of controversial calls. As an official you're taught never to be the center of attention, I find JW WANTS to be the center of attention.

Joe West is the best umpire in MLB and will likely be a first time ballot entry into the HoF.

shite he got pegged. Wonder what the fan will be charged with? Could it be as bad as attempted murder?

With that second gif, it almost looks like it came from the upper deck. With Joe West, it couldn't have happened to a more deserving a-hole. Still, I hope they found the person who threw that ball, put him in cuffs, and took him away.
