A hearing date has been scheduled for the ongoing federal lawsuit between LSU and the Southeastern Conference.

According to WBRZ, the hearing is set for November 18 at 10 a.m. in Birmingham, Alabama, as the two sides continue their legal battle over player eligibility.

The SEC originally filed the lawsuit after LSU explored adding several former professional football players to its roster under a Louisiana court ruling. LSU ultimately decided not to roster those players.

The conference later raised concerns about LSU's men's basketball program, but LSU disputed those allegations, pointing to its decision not to roster former Boston Celtics player RJ Luis.

LSU has requested that the lawsuit be dismissed, arguing that the SEC's claims are no longer relevant because the university did not add the players in question.

The SEC, however, maintains that the dispute remains unresolved.

I hope a leaked communication by Sankey to harm LSU and oust them from the conference arbitrarily gets him fired.

Time to turn it off. They ruined the sport with gambling and NIL. People will wake up very soon that there are way more important things than watching sports in today’s environment. What a waste it has become, and they will dismantle themselves soon what was built. The real power is in turning it off because it is all so dirty including Sankey’s high dollar tv contracts. It will take people turning it off and finding out there is so much more to life than watching sports anymore. I truly regret wasting so much of my time and energy investing in something that gives no return on the investment.

He will keep it up until, or if, LSU is eliminated from playoff contention. It's the only way that he can put any pressure on LK and LSU, even though they don't even care anymore.

But the judge won’t be a Bama grad at every level if this continues.

It’ll just get appealed if that happens and then in a circuit court.

I am curious if this or another university will have to resort to the Supreme Court at some point

Not likely to be the case @ all in a federal court. This will get thrown out.
