Lane Kiffin Says Browns Coach Todd Monken's Story About Dae'Quan Wright Was 'Inaccurate'

During Monday's press conference, Lane Kiffin was asked about the comments from Browns head coach Todd Monken from last week, claiming that Kiffin called him to inquire about Dae'Quan Wright.

In his response, Kiffin said, "There were some inaccuracies about that story."

Why would Monken lie about it? He has no skin in the game, has bigger issues (like Deshaun Watson sucking at QB), and knew he was going to get cut anyway.

Nobody said he lied. It says so in the title, that it's inaccurate.

Monkey saying Lane called could be a generality that someone from Lane's LSU staff called.

Lane is only saying he himself did not call.

Uh, well somebody did because he’s on your roster and I’m pretty sure you have instructions to do just that. This dude needs to start owning his actions. Uh, I took this job because other people told me to, uh, I didn’t call this guy. I don’t know how we ended up with a player from the Browns. Dude takes no responsibility. If it doesn’t work out in Baton Rouge he’ll say well, I shouldn’t have listened to people that told me to take the job.
