my favorite analogy is:
It's like having the best girlfriend ever, then she tells you she's leaving you to become a lesbian. You think "uhhh, i'm heartbroken and I'm not sure how I can compete with that". You then get over it and move on. 2 years later, she's banging some dude that you know/hate with a passion and she's not a lesbo anymore. Those memories come back and it still stings a bit.

We understand why you left father. Thank you for the time we had together.

It's mind boggling. The greatest coach that will ever be in college football left and then we didn't let Miles go so we could get him back. NUTS. Why TAF didn't move heaven and earth to do this I have no idea. The darn Governor should have gotten it done. Everyone in power should have gotten this done. We never fail to fail. So as good as we did - every four years in the game, it could have been even more....

Did they have a crystal ball that showed he would be the goat?

We should all get together in Death Valley and have a major cry about it together. It’s the only way to properly heal.

We've all made stupid mistakes coach. I bought a Bitcoin mining machine in 2013 when you had to pay up front and wait 6 mths for delivery. A month before I was to receive it, I cancelled and got a refund. Of course, the biggest mistake of my life...DOH!

A couple of years later, I bought an ETH mining contract from one of these mining companies. I paid $330 and mined 11 ETH for the year...so $33 each. Then used it to make a lot then lost a lot, like most folks...haha.

I kind of sick of this storyline. I'm thankful for the build he did at LSU. He is one of, if not the only, man that could've built (in such a short time) a program that sustains at an elite level. But this storyline of "what could have been" or some fake "we are better than Tuscaloosa as a city" is just dumb. He left LSU and Tuscaloosa and BR both have redeeming qualities and crappy things about them. It's whatever

Saban knows that it take elite mental preparation to become an elite athlete. 11 Jacob Hesters on each side of the ball may not be the most talented group. But, collectively, they will whip your arse 10 times out of 10.

He forever improved LSU program, won a NC and left the template to win repeat NC’s. His heart never left LSU. He went for the cash and status like all of us would have done. He is, currently, more of an ambassador for LSU than BAMA, based on his periodic comments through national media. We paid Miles, Orgeron and Kelly to dominate. The difference between them and Saban are not the X’s and O’s. It is the ability to choose talent and connect with players on a psychological level to maximize their potentials as human beings, before football.

Coach you did a hell of a job at LSU! You brought us a Natty in 03 and we ALL love you for that. The changes in mind set and attitude that you developed within the program were so deeply rooted that they remained long after your departure. From 2003 - 2019, just about every 4 years LSU found itself in the National Championship game because we continued to build upon the excellence that you initiated on Day 1. Thank you, Coach.

I can’t stand the guy because he’s a backstabbing POS. But he did get LSU back to being relevant and the Saints wouldn’t have a Super Bowl win if Saban pushed the Dolphins more to sign Brees.

We all knew he was gonna give the NFL a shot, and when he was done with the experiment, the LSU job wasn’t available. He got our program rolling in the 2000s

He now understands the harm he caused LSU by going to Bama. LSU would have won at least one more title if not more
