Former LSU star defensive lineman Marcus Spears had this perfect reaction to the Tigers upset win over No. 2 Georgia on Saturday.

I am not sure what to think of that strangeness. Also, Ryan Clark>>>>>Booger>>>>>Spears

I think the Gripe with him is that he almost always goes the politically safe way for him. He's well liked and intrenched at SEC media complex. He can pick the Tigers when it looks and feels like they will respond like they have all year and for Orgerons e tire tenure at LSU. He's undefeated coming off of a loss. He can get a little closer to the program too. That way he can better pick his Tigers. Of course he loves LSU and of course he still has love for his former coach. But the program needs him talking fairly about LSU and not just fall in line. His job wouldn't be in jeopardy and he would get more respect from his fellow co workers for calling an upset before it happened simply bc he has the heartbeat of this program. I'll bet his attitude changes now though. Orgeron and his staff is for real. He wouldn't be beating all these really talented teams like he is consistently if they weren't the real deal. So frick the haters!!!

Bet y'all don't even know what he is talking about when he brings up Shockley. One hint, it has to do with the 2003 National Championship season.

Tubucoco, what exactly does his race have to do with anything? A lot of people were mad at Spears for picking against LSU Saturday so you can't put your race card back in your pocket and save it for another day.

I was wondering how long it would take some mook to play the race card. When you are the one that introduces race to a non-racial subject, it is you who is the racist.

He has been clear in case you don’t follow his shows...”at work, he is a professional and has to make judgement and picks based on sound evidence, but when he is off the clock, he is a fan of his alma mater.

Not many people picked LSU. Most non biased and even casual observers picked Georgia and no one can say that picking the Dawgs wasn't a solid pick.

Must be just me but I really liked that. That life has got to be draining and can’t pick us of course but he loves LSU.

Dude has spent this entire season being “unbiased”. And by unbiased, I mean denegrating and being wayyyyy over critical every chance he gets. Even after he continues to be proven wrong. He just doesn’t like LSU anymore for whatever reason.

He's a Sabanista. At least I understand it from guys like him, Skyler Green, Bradie James, etc. I don't get it from rank and file fans, though.

I liked him as a player, but he's a blowhard as an analyst when it comes to LSU. I get that he wants to appear unbiased, but come on.

He picked us to lose to just about everybody and now he wants to jump on the bandwagon. Sorry Marcus, you're dead to us.

You think he keeps his job by picking LSU every weekend? He has a good thing going with his new career, he is not going to jeopardize it by saying LSU every time they play... I can almost assure you, whether he says LSU will win or not, he is pulling for the Tigers.

LSU is 6-1 so a good analyst would have picked LSU almost every single week. instead, Marcus goes out of his way to seemingly pick against LSU. Wouldn't he be more likely to keep his job by providing accurate analysis and picks instead of being wrong?

Uh if we follow ur logic then 75% of the posters on TD would be dead to "us" (whoever the fck US is). You know its possible to be a fan of LSU and think that another team may be able to beat them. Not everyone has to be a complete homer. WTF?

Not uncommon for personal relationships to mean more than the school you attended. He loves both. He has a personal relationship with a mentor and coach. its different than one vs the other.
