LSU's new quarterback depth of Sam Leavitt, Husan Longstreet, and Landen Clark ranks among the best QB rooms for 2026, according to CBS Sports.

Only Oregon's QB room of Dante Moore and Dylan Raiola was slotted ahead of LSU for 2026. Here's what Cody Nagel had to say about the Tigers.

2026 QB depth: Sam Leavitt, Husan Longstreet

Lane Kiffin went all out to secure the No. 1 transfer portal prospect in former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt. But his ambition didn't stop there, soon landing another prized talent in USC transfer Husan Longstreet to bolt-strengthen the LSU quarterback room. While Leavitt projects to be the starter in Week 1, Longstreet gives the Tigers a ready-to-play option as a backup and high-upside piece for the future as a former five-star recruit.

Leavitt arrives in Baton Rouge after a productive two-year stint at Arizona State, throwing for 4,652 yards and 36 touchdowns with 11 interceptions, while adding 816 yards and 10 scores on the ground. He posted a 16-4 record that includes a Big 12 Championship and a CFP appearance in 2024.

Landen Clark as well. That's a hell of a 3rd string QB

Going from no scholarship QBs on the roster to being listed as the #2 QB room for depth is quite the feat lol

I thought QB Dylan Raiola jumped into the portal when QB Dante Moore announced he was returning for another year with Oregon, I guess he changed his mind.

Does anyone else not feel great about just buying a team of players cobbled together from other teams from all over? I mean, great for the players and their families and agents, and I hope they win, but I always liked seeing players from New Orleans and Franklin and Winnsboro and Many on the team. I can’t think of anyone from Many but I’m sure there have been some.

Tylen Singleton is from Many. He is going to be a breakout star at lb this year.

With the number of players raised to 105 I think Lane will be snatching up borderline players who could be developed.

We had a real challenge to replace one of the Top 5 Tiger GOAT QBs of all time in Nuss but looks like LK may have put us in a position to replace some of his production. Well done.

....Top 5 Tiger GOAT QBs of all time in Nuss but...... I don't mean to throw rocks, but I don't recall any real excitement this past season whether it was from the fans, the players, the coaches, the announcers or sports media. which game did Nuss orchestrate a come from behind win or a game that catapulted LSU into the CFP's? I'll hangup and listen.

Mrs. Nussmeier, we all wish your boy well, but he’s just another mediocre LSU QB.
