New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton spoke with the media on Friday and was asked about LSU's success this season.

Payton also talked briefly about passing game coordinator Joe Brady who was with the Saints last year.
quote:

"We're their biggest fans," Payton said. "We're excited for them. It's a good time to be a football fan in Louisiana."

"The last thing I told Joe (Brady) was that he was making a mistake. So much for what I know.

“But I'm excited for Ed (Orgeron) and his staff. That team has been really impressive."

Sean Payton should be coaching Canadian Football. Such a disgrace.

Sean Payton is rabidly anti-gun. I pay zero attention to his opinions on anything else.

Thank you Sean Payton = Offensive Mastermind

I like Payton. He owns up to his mistakes "hey I was wrong!" Love it

I get where Sean is coming from. Going from Pro to College without a job promotion (Say, from Position coach to coordinator), and especially going to a school that for the last ten years has a reputation of being a “run heavy” offense as a pass dude probably Isn’t great for your career. I think everyone is happy to see how it turned out though.

Do not know how so many want to turn that comment into a negative ??? He is admitted he gave the wrong advice and then making fun of himself.... how many of us have done that? And the advice...not so wrong based on our previous "PASSING" history in our offense plans...Is he the only one surprised ? Be real.

What about that was arrogant? I'm not a die hard saints fan, wont be a bandwagoner but I pull for them. I am a diehard LSU fan though and I heard nothing but self deprecation and praise.

Some could learn from SP. He is well schooled at deflecting questions and only giving out the Information he wants to give out

Loved recently when Brees said he was watching LSU and was like, "wow, I know that play!" CSp is correct. It is an awesome time to be a fan of football in the Boot.
