Former LSU and current Seattle Seahawks rookie offensive lineman Ethan Pocic received some positive feedback from his new head coach Pete Carroll after participating in the team's rookie mini-camp. Per SeattlePI.com:
quote:

"He's already studied his tail off to get here. You can tell," Carroll said. "He's a bright football player. Really tuned in. Just all of the right signals in the first day and a half that he's been here as far as being ready to apply himself. He had a great experience at LSU. He's played a ton of football and it shows."

"All of the film we watched, it was always impressive how from game to game or even within the game (that) he could demonstrate that he was comfortable at other spots," Carroll said Sunday after the conclusion of minicamp, in which Pocic looked "very comfortable" at right tackle.

"He's got a really good background. He was raised great by their program. He's technique-sound. He's very bright. He can make a new concept or the way we may talk about a scheme or technique just come to life for you."
Pocic could end up playing guard or tackle for the Seahawks.

I hope he does well but I personally will be shocked. I wanted to read Pete praising his play but instead it was him being bright and studying hard. That was never the problem. I don't see him being physical enough to be an impact player. I will be glad if he proves me wrong

He was one of Miles biggest waist of talent. He should have been playing at one of the tackle spots.

Do the down voters realise how much money Miles cost him by playing him out if position? Ifeel he had played at tackle he probably would have been a first round pick.

Really big waist, I'd imagine. He is an O-lineman.

We'll see what kind of praise Carroll has for him when he false starts three times in one game!

LSU recruiters need to include this article with EVERY O-lineman they recruit.

Actually, I think Ethan's prep work and versatility is a credit to the LSU o-line coaching staff. Be it Grimes and/or Miles. We have a lot of linemen in the NFL right now. I'm not a Miles fan, but give a little credit. As for Grimes, we'll find out this year! Either way, good luck to Ethan!

Saints should trade Fleener for him

Why would the Seahawks trade a 2nd round versatile Olineman for a soft, overpaid TE?

The Saints should have gone defense with 32nd pick and taken Pocic with the 42nd pick. Grrrrrr

Absolutely, dude is a natural OT and will be a great one. It is just sad to see our old regime misused so much talent when we needed those positions (OT, Mike LB).

If he becomes a good OT in the NFL, I'm going to laugh.

I'm gonna be happy for him. He should have been the LT the day that La'el left IMO.
