The intangible that I like is when he identify talent that probably could be more effective at another position, or even on the other side of the ball. It surely worked for Russell Gage. Who is currently an Atlanta Falcon.

I was convinced Coach O was a cut above the rest when he landed Joe Burrow. NO ONE in Ohio thought O had a chance with JB. It was a running joke on all the OSU sites and radio shows. Coach O is an old-school ball coach. He's winning and his players love him. What else matters. Coach of the year? I'd buy that.

And just as a reminder, he's a hell of a shrimp boat Capt! Great job by O so far this year! GEAUX TIGERS!

When you go from the hot seat in just the preseason of your second full year to almost undefeated and winning over three top ten, and one top five, teams at the time you played them with momentum going into Moo State and Bama...no, this isn't a bit much. It's right on track.

What Barbellthor said reminds me of Malzhan in 2016. Starts off on the hot seat, squeaks one by LSU, then leads the War Eagle Plainsmen Tigers to the Sugar Bowl.
