LSU wide receiver coach Mickey Joseph has accepted a position at Nebraska as wide receiver coach, passing game coordinator, and associate head coach under Scott Frost.

Joseph, a 53-year-old Louisiana native, played quarterback at Nebraska from 1988-1991.

Ed Orgeron hired Joseph to his LSU staff as wide receiver coach in 2017 and gave him the title of assistant head coach in 2020.

Nothing but respect for Mickey. No shame in going back to your alma mater. I know if I worked somewhere else as a coach and LSU wanted me I'd come running.

If I had my druthers, he'd still be with us. It'll take a pretty stout little NIL pill to keep NOLA kids in Lincoln, in Winter, when they're losing...

Congrats Mickey on the promotion and returning to your alma mater. It's a great opportunity: Best of luck and stay warm during the winters. Come say hi when LSU is in Omaha. ;-)
