The Advocate is reporting that LSU linebacker Tyler Taylor has been suspended indefinitely after coaches found out on Wednesday that he was arrested this offseason.

Taylor, a sophomore from Buford, Ga., was arrested for allegedly serving as the getaway driver in the burglary of a Georgia pawn shop back on Jan. 8. The LSU linebacker was eventually arrested for the crime on May 31.
quote:

An incident report by the Cumming Police Department said that on the early morning of Jan. 8, three men and a juvenile broke into a pawn shop in Cumming, Georgia, stole several firearms and fled the scene in a vehicle driven by Taylor.

The report said a Cumming police officer obtained arrest warrants May 27 for Taylor, 19, for conspiracy to commit a crime, party to a crime and theft by receiving stolen property.

On May 31, Taylor was booked into a local jail, and nearly five hours later he posted bond for the total sum of $33,550, according to the booking report from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
All three of the crimes that Taylor was arrested for were classified as felonies, according to report.

Taylor played in all 13 games during his freshman season last year and started in five of those game. He recorded 32 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Jesus Christ man. You're living the life as an LSU football player and get a free education to boot. Just don't be a criminal and enjoy your four years.

Don’t be a criminal is asking too much for some people.

He should be off the team, not suspended indefinitely. He wasn’t arrested for weed or fighting.

When your posse is the 1 being chased & not the posse doing the chasing, it's apparent you are on the wrong side of that situation. BOL to the young man, can only hope it wasn't him.

That's load of crap. If you have time to drive a getaway car, you have time to get a part time job. That's right a JOB!

Ironically, majority of the crime were committed by people who had money but is greedy and wants more.

That is most lame reason I've heard yet for paying the players. "We have to pay the players so that they won't turn to crime" bullshite.

Let’s also be honest about the pawn shop stealing from the desperate people who bring their business to them.

Yes, Tyler Taylor is a fricking moron. But, is nothing going to be done about the cumming police officer?

Wow, my only question is why just suspend? Kick his worthless butt off the team and fill his spot with someone who wants an education. The arrest shows this kid wants everything easy. Will never earn a honest living imo.

Come on man. They had enough PC to arrest him as an accessory to a burglary. Players like that are a cancer. Send him packing and give it to a player that won’t put himself in a position to get arrested

There is a proper process to everything and I’m certain LSU legal and sports admin and their disciplinary committee know a helluva lot more or this front than you do and will do this correctly so that it’s cleaned up to their satisfaction. Or are you saying you have a JD and an MBA in sports administration?

This guy is even dumber than you think. I live in the same city as him, Sugar Hill. The only people who commit crime here are people who listen to 'gangster rap' and WANT to live that life. Its not the hood. This guy ruined his life tying to look cool.

I live in the area as well. I know a couple of his HS coaches. As far as I know he was never in to any of that at Lanier. Kids generally just don’t generally do that kind of stuff around here so I have no idea WTH is going on. I really want to believe he didn’t know what his “buddies” were about to do. Horrible decision on his part and I really hate this for him.
