Former LSU defensive graduate assistant Leon Wright will be rejoining Ed Orgeron's staff as a defensive analyst, according to Football Scoop.

Wright spent last season as the wide receiver coach at Garden City Community in Garden City, Kansas.
quote:

LSU: Per source, Garden City CC (JC – KS) wide receivers coach Leon Wright has accepted a defensive analyst role at LSU.
The native of St. Petersburg, Fla. played cornerback at Duke University and began his coaching career with the Blue Devils as a Defensive Quality Control Coach under David Cutcliffe.

Wright also spent time on Princeton's coaching staff as a defensive backfield assistant and was "responsible for an assigned recruiting area that included (LA, FL, TN, AL, WV, MS, AR, and KY)," according to his Garden City CC bio.

as one who supports giving Orgeron a fair chance...I have to ask what happened to his world class staff? The money is ridiculous for some of these folks who would and have been working for 10% of what LSU is paying them...

Why should I be familiar with Leon Wright? I don't really follow former Duke cornerbacks who coached at Garden City CC.

Some of you should do a little research on current rules regarding college football staffing before making fools of yourselves.

This is fine. Saban has a bunch of analysts. He might’ve started the analyst trend.

Coached at garden city, went to Duke, from St Pete......”Familiar face returns to Baton Rouge”. Somewhere, Larry Leo is smiling with approval

It's pretty telling about their quality when they always scroll through the comments to see where the messed up and then have to go back and edit it.

LSU's analysts hail from JUCO's while Bama's analysts may be disgraced but they come from BIG schools. Special Ed seems to be in over his head.

You sound jealous that you don’t have Aranda. It’s just a position title. You don’t know what his exact role will be or what husband skill set is

Just a few years ago people were saying how LSU needed the support staff that some of our main competitors had and now that LSU is hiring them, it's a bad deal. This place is absolutely nuts. God I hope O wins a championship so you idiots STFU about anything and everything.

You didn’t read I guess. All it says about anything offensive is that he coached wide receivers last year

What isn't *new* is how people say things before reading the article and doing a little research. He was a DB in school/college, Defensive QC coach at Duke, a defensive backfield assistant at the CC in Kansas, and a defensive GA at LSU before that.
